Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps overcome hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. It is used in over 20,000 churches worldwide, and is helping thousands in our community break the chains of addiction bondage holding them back from the life they are meant to live.
ABOUT
No child grows up wishing to become an addict. Many parents have expectations for their children, plan their lives out accordingly, and yet find themselves dealing with a problem they don’t know how to handle. Life Happens. Many times, brokenness and the bondage of addiction set in to an extent that families and lives are broken.
We currently have over 100 individuals enrolled in our Celebrate Recovery addiction recovery program. These people are learning to get set free from addiction and develop the life skills necessary to become active and productive members of society.
Restoration of broken lives is what our Celebrate Recovery program is all about, and there are thousands of victories across the U.S. celebrated every year from Celebrate Recovery. Locally, we continue to experience the joy of watching captives being set free during every group that goes through the program.
WHAT TO EXPECT
CURRICULUM
Our rehab program is a Christ-centered ministry that believes Jesus Christ is the one and only Higher Power. The Bible and Celebrate Recovery curriculum consisting of the Participant’s Guides and the Celebrate Recovery Journal are used. The Large Group lessons are taught from the Leader’s Guide, keeping at least the acrostic and the Scriptures as the key points in the lessons. This is to keep consistency within groups, allowing teachers to be creative with the introduction and conclusion of each lesson.
Life’s Healing Choices is part of the curriculum. You may find this book used in many creative ways in your large group, newcomers group, and step study groups. Celebration Station & The Landing are the approved Celebrate Recovery curriculum for kids and youth. They are the only Children’s and Youth curriculum that ties directly with the Celebrate Recovery curriculum for adults.
GROUP STRUCTURE
The ministry is “group based.” All groups are gender specific: men with men and women with women. There are NO online Celebrate Recovery groups. We lead face-to-face group meetings only. The Celebrate Recovery “Five Small Group Guidelines” are implemented and followed in every meeting.
We expect each group to be accountable to Christ, the local church, and the model of Celebrate Recovery first established at Saddleback Church.
