At the Florida Dream Center, we recognize that the needs are vast across our community, and no single organization or service provider can do everything. We understand the critical nature of collaborating with other organizations throughout the area to better serve as many needs as possible. It is our desire to take a leading role to help facilitate this collaboration across the dozens of important and effective providers of human services in the area.
F.O.C.U.S.
A group of over 40 service providers across Pinellas County have agreed to get together on a monthly basis with the objective to increase cross-organizational effectiveness to fight homelessness, hunger, unemployment, addiction, and other problems facing the community. The meetings are named FOCUS (Family Oriented Concept United to Serve), with the Florida Dream Center taking an active leadership position in the meetings to facilitate greater efficiency in the services being offered to those in need, and to ensure that organizations across the county are aware of the other services being offered.
This will enable an increase in the number and speed of referrals to key services needed by those being helped. The Florida Dream Center wishes to continue a leadership position in FOCUS in the coming year, and identify those areas in the community that are not yet being effectively addressed to expand our own services in those areas.
