Adopt-a-Block reaches out to at-risk areas within Pinellas County, adopting specific communities in need of assistance. Teams of volunteers enter the community on Saturdays to provide nearly anything the community is in need of including street clean-up, home repairs, lawn maintenance, and a host of other services. Over 200 volunteers are now part of the program, with dozens entering the community every Saturday, making long-term, life-changing improvements to the communities that need it most. Adopt-a Block also removes roughly 70 tons of trash from the Lealman area each month.
Florida Dream Center is able to sign off on Bright Futures, National Junior Honor SOciety (NJHS), court ordered community service as well as internships.
